Abstract
Finance is the key to accomplishing long term growth and achievement of all the economies. The financial sector plays a significant role as and when the economy becomes larger, complex and market oriented. This study employed a quantitative method approach to assess work-life balance, workplace flexibility and commitment to employee performance in the financial sector in India. These factors are one of the emerging concerns in the pandemic era for researchers these days. Despite numerous studies conducted on flexible working provisions, work-life balance, and employee performance; it is limited that many of them are based on qualitative studies. An extensive literature review has been conducted within the field of the financial sector to study and illustrate these variables. This study overcomes the past limitations by assessing different parameters like age, gender, motivation, work satisfaction, personal life satisfaction, flexible working options, flexible working hours and employee commitment. The study is based on a sample of 53 employees working in the financial sector in India. The data collection of this study is hosted by Survey Monkey through a quantitative questionnaire. Of the 100 invites that were sent, 53 surveys returned were considered complete. The resulting response rate is 53%. The data analysis is being performed by using SPSS software version 28.0 and regression analysis technique. The findings of the study will assist financial sector leaders and managers in amending the existing policies and putting together new measures to improve employee performance and ultimately organizational performance. It will also facilitate leaders to minimize the resignations of experienced and skilled employees. Suggestions for future research include extension of the geographical area as current study is limited to Indian financial sector. Future study should explore different sectors of banking like private, public, and strive for a larger sample size, researcher can also approach longitudinal survey to attain more accurate results.
