Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide a sound theoretical basis for traditional Korean cultural contents. This was done by finding ideal values and possibilities of taekwondo as ethno-cultural content in global and multicultural contexts. The functional, educational and social values of taekwondo have become core elements of traditional and modern products of taekwondo around the world. The study also concluded that a number of taekwondo values as ethno-cultural contents that can be very useful for developing (1) a new paradigm of traditional Korean cultures between local and global dimensions; (2) national economic growth through global taekwondo families and the Korean diaspora networks; and (3) international education contents.
