Abstract
Tracks documents seven seasons of The Song Company under Pitts’s artistic direction (2016–2022), presenting a curated selection that demonstrates the researcher’s systematic approach to programming Australia’s national vocal ensemble. The album generates new knowledge about the curation of a national ensemble’s identity – how programming choices across seasons can build a coherent artistic and intellectual trajectory. The recorded evidence allows analysis of performance practice decisions, repertoire discoveries, and the development of ensemble sound across a sustained period.
