Abstract
This Assurance of Learning Workshop explores three complementary approaches to assessment in higher education: assessment of learning, assessment for learning, and assessment as learning. The session examines how summative assessment measures achievement of learning objectives, how formative assessment supports and encourages student learning, and how reflective practices promote learner responsibility and self-assessment.
