This interactive teaching and learning presentation explores how live collaborative modelling and co-construction can help higher education students reclaim their own voice in an age of generative AI. Drawing on a Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Teaching context, the presentation demonstrates how students can critically evaluate AI-generated output, develop professional judgement, and build confidence in their own voice. Following the intervention strategy, the pass rate for students; submitted documentation increased from 19.09% to 98.53% within 6 weeks of placement. Furthermore, students; Final Portfolio median improved from 52.6% to 74.3% within a single term. Participants experience the strategy first-hand and consider how this approach can be adapted across other disciplines.
