My research focuses on strengthening the early childhood education workforce by examining the interconnected areas of teacher quality, workforce attraction and retention, and educator wellbeing.
I investigate how teacher preparation, professional conditions, workplace support and policy settings influence educators’ professional practice, career decisions and capacity to provide high-quality education for young children.
I am also interested in the responsible use of artificial intelligence to support early childhood educators, including reducing administrative workload, enhancing professional learning and improving access to practical, evidence-informed resources.
Through this work, I aim to inform teacher education, workforce policy and the development of sustainable support systems for the early childhood education sector.
